Lieto Voices is excited to have a special guest artist, Wilford Brimley, join us for this concert. Wilford Brimley is a well-known and beloved actor, best recognized for his distinctive cowboy drawl and handlebar mustache. He has appeared in several movies but is remembered especially for, “The Natural,” “The China Syndrome,” and “Cocoon.” He has appeared frequently in commercials, notably a series of spots for Quaker Oats Oatmeal throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. Mr. Brimley and his wife, Beverley, moved to St. George from Wyoming in 2014 and are both active in the arts community.
We have a great performance planned and will join with Mr. Brimley on a journey through a musical landscape. Many of the pieces are audience favorites such as, “Over the Rainbow,” from “The Wizard of Oz;” “Danny Boy,” arranged by Brad Printz, and “Amazing Grace,” written by John Newton and arranged by Bryce Stevenson.
